“So a quick background on how I encountered Transfer Radon.  My son was having respiratory issues and I was trying to find a solution.  In doing so, I purchased an Airthings View Plus indoor air quality monitor and discovered consistently high levels of radon in my home.  So I did some research about what to do.  I found Transfer Radon and when the job was done, my radon levels immediately dropped to under 20 bq/M, which is basically as good as you can hope for.

Owner/Technician Steve Thorne is a great guy to work with.  He is professional, attentive, thorough and reasonable, an engineer by trade.  I have to say he was a welcome change from contractors who pretend to listen, tell you what you want to hear, then do the minimum, get paid and get out without caring if the job was sufficient or not.  Steve is the complete opposite of that, he actually seemed enthusiastic that I wanted to engage and learn throughout the process.  He was even patient enough to let me “help.”  He made 3 visits to my place; (1) initial consultation, (2) testing and plannning, and (3) installation.  Price quotes were reasonable and there were no surprise add-ons. 

Because of the testing and planning for the radon mitigation system, we knew exactly how well it would work before installation.  The vacuum testing part of the process is critical, because without it, you could be paying good money to install a system that runs but doesn’t actually reduce radon.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the experience and, most importantly, the results.  I think Steve Thorne’s genuine desire to help is evident in his work and I wish him continued success.”
